ABOUT THE STAFF......
Ms. Erikka Richardson, the Certified Lead Teacher in Second Grade - Room 306, joined Robert Treat Academy's staff in 1999. She holds a Standard New Jersey Teaching Certificate for grades Kindergarten through eight. Ms. Richardson studied Psychology at Rutgers University and majored in Legal Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Teacher Assistant Maria C. Bernal has been at Robert Treat since 2002. She has earned her credentials as a Highly Qualified Paraprofessional and has an Associates Degree in Landscape Design & Horticulture. Mrs. Bernal also studied Nursing for three years. Her prior related experience includes 2 years as a volunteer preschool teacher and four years as a preschool teacher in the Abbot Program at Keys School in Newark. Mrs. Bernal loves to read and is an avid gardener. She also enjoys knitting and teaching little children that skill.
