ABOUT THE STAFF......
Lead Teacher Ms. Theresa Rivera in Grade Five - Room 205 joined the Robert Treat Academy in 2001. She did her undergraduate work at Rutgers University and earned a Master's of Education from St. Peter's College. Ms. Rivera is responsible for teaching the language arts/literacy curriculum to all RTA fifth graders. During her time away from school, Ms. Rivera is interested in travelling around the world.
Team Teacher, Ms. Dolores Barbalaco joined the staff of Robert Treat Academy in its second year of operation in 1999. Ms. Barbalaco has had a number of teaching assignments during her tenure here including grades K, 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. She also taught art and music in the Academy's early years. Ms. Barbalaco holds a Bachelor's Degree from Montclair State University and is certified as an elementary school teacher in the State of New Jersey. Ms. Barbalaco enjoys being a mom and is an animal lover and enjoys writing poetry.
