ABOUT THE STAFF.....
Mr. Claudio Bernal is the Lead Teacher in Grade Seven - Room 210. He teaches seventh and eighth grade mathematics. Mr. Bernal holds both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He entered teaching through the Alternate Route Program in 2003 and is currently teaching Algebra at the Academy. He is certified as a Middle School Teacher of Mathematics. Before joining Robert Treat's staff, he was a substitute teacher at Newark Public Schools. Mr. Bernal is a student of history who plays classical guitar.

Teacher Joseph DiVincenzo rounds out the Mathematics Team for the seventh grade. He is a second year teacher at Robert Treat this year. He is highly qualified in Elementary Education and Middle School Mathematics. He graduated from Montclair State University in 2008 where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He is currently attending Montclair State University for a Masters in Educational Leadership. Mr. DiVincenzo is an athlete who plays football, baseball and Jiu-Jitsu. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
