ABOUT THE STAFF.....
Art Teacher Lisa Winter, our new art teacher, was born in Germany and grew up in Massachusetts. Art was always her favorite subject! She majored in Art in Smith Colleged, then received an M.A.T. in Art Education from the Rhode Island School of Design. She started her art teaching career at the Princeton Charter School, and then took a break from teaching to pursue and M.F.A. degree in Sculpture at the New York Academy of Art.
After studying sculpture, she taught art at University Heights Charter School. She is very happy to be teaching art now at Robert Treat Academy. For fun, Ms. Winter makes watercolor paintings at home, goes on walks outside with her husband, and goes to New York City to visit art museums or friends and relatives.
