About the Staff....
Ms. Leslie McClendon is a certified teacher in the Second grade. She began teaching at RTA at She holds a th a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education from Seton Hall University. Her prior experience includes teaching middle school and managing after school programs. As a mother of two, she enjoys kickboxing, traveling, and spending time with her daughters. She is happy to be a part of Robert Treat Academy.
Ms. Claudia Sayre is a certified teacher in the second grade. She began teaching at RTA Central in October, 2011. She has a B.A. in History from Yale University, a J.D. from New York University School of Law, and a post-baccalaureate initial certification in Elementary Education from Montclair State University. After working for almost nine years as an attorney in a multi-national law firm in Manhattan, she is excited to begin her second career as a teacher. This is her first teaching experience. She enjoys reading voraciously, tending her flower garden, running at the YMCA, shopping at the farmers' market, and relaxing with her husband and two teenage daughters.
