{SCHOOL_NAME} School works hard to surpass the academic guidelines established by the New Jersey Department of Education by providing a challenging and engaging curriculum for our students.
{SCHOOL_NAME} School Curriculum
{SCHOOL_NAME} School follows New Jersey State and {DISTRICT_NAME} District guidelines. The school district has adopted content standards and assessments. These assessments allow teachers, students and parents to see where individuals are in reaching and/or exceeding District Standards. The measures will determine whether the student has successfully learned grade level standards. The results of these measures will enable teachers to teach to your child's individual needs and strengths. Copies of the State content Standards can be accessed at the links provided below.
New Jersey has defined what its children need to know and be able to do in ten content areas: mathematics, reading, writing, science, social studies, fine arts, comprehensive health, technology, foreign language, and workplace skills. The NJ Academic Standards Unit, in partnership with K-12 Literacy, provides leadership, support, and assistance to schools in implementing the New Jersey Academic Standards in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. State-sponsored professional development for implementing these articulated content standards targets leadership teams from counties, districts, and/or schools.
The state of New Jersey has instituted standardized tests to ensure compliance with these guidelines and assess whether schools are meeting these goals. To learn more and view {SCHOOL_NAME} School's recent test scores, visit the accountability page.
