ABOUT THE STAFF......
Lead Teacher, John Feinstein, has the responsibility of teaching Language Arts/Literacy in the sixth grade. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Communication from New Jersey Cit University and received his Alternate Route teacher training for certification through Montclair University. Prior to joining the Robert Treat Academy Staff in 2003, Mr. Feinstein was a writer and editor of corporate communications, most recently for AT&T. He is the founding coach of the RTA debate team and is anadvisor for the student newsletter club. When not in the classroom, Mr. Feinstein spends time golfing, sailing, and playing the guitar.
Ms. Sarah Buttino has been at Robert Treat Academy since 2000. Since that time she has taught several grades, but the majority of her tenure has been spent in the middle grades. She currently teaches 6th grade language arts/literacy. Ms. Buttino has her Bachelor's degree from Lehigh University where he major was journalism with a minor in education. She earned a Master's degree in education from St. Peter's College. Ms. Buttino is certified as an elementary school teacher and as a reading specialist. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her son.
