Mrs Coyle read "I Don't Want to Be Quiet!" by Laura Ellen Anderson to Kindergarten and 1st grade today. This book was about being nice and quiet during learning times and knowing appropriate times to be loud!

Today Newark hosted a Latina Women's Empowerment Brunch. A panel of six amazing and inspiring Latina Women sat with a few High Schools and one Middle School-Robert Treat Academy. Among those who spoke was our very own Ms. Tiana. We are so proud of all the work she continues to do in our community and school.
Once again, RTA has been ranked as a US News and World Report Best Elementary and Middle Schools!!!
During Character Ed today the 4th graders did a project where they wrote character traits for each of their classmates! Great job 4th grade!

Due to the current weather forecast, RTA will follow a delayed opening schedule tomorrow, Thursday, February 6th.
Gates open at 10am with student arrival between 10-10:30.
We will continue to monitor the forecast, and if conditions worsen, a full school closure may be necessary.
We will provide an update by 8:00am tomorrow morning.
First Graders sorted, counted, and used their graphing skills to analyze their conversation hearts. It sure was a sweet math activity!
It's so nice when the oldest scholars in the school tutor the youngest! Reading a little each day together is so beneficial for both in different ways!
